John, who is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, has over 20 years’ experience in both Public Practice and Industry, working closely with clients providing Audit, Business Advisory, Insolvency and Tax Services to our broad range of clients.
Prior to his establishment of his own practice in 2004, John had acted as Audit Manager for McGowan Heuston Chartered Accountants as well as Finance Director for a number of successful Construction related companies.
Through the growth of Lyons & Calzo Accountants, John’s skill and expertise have expanded vastly. Widely recognised as being a commercially aware Business Start-up Specialist and a proactive provider in the delivery of value added services and solutions for clients, his client portfolio now includes specialisms in the Technology, Professional Services, Manufacturing, Pharmacy and Retail Sectors.
He is a member of the Irish Society of Insolvency Practitioners and the Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
John is a keen football enthusiast and military historian and has served on the Board of Shamrock Rovers Football Club as Finance Director in recent times, mixing both of his passions in life.
